The themes of nostalgia, loss and resilience are at the heart of Graeme Patterson’s work, an artist who draws from his personal experiences to create narrative vignettes featuring animals in the role of alter ego. Camp Wakonda dramatically recounts the crumbling relationship between two friends following an accident. The transition from childhood to adulthood is at the core of these eight video shorts, rite-of-passage stories told through hand-crafted stop-motion animation.
