Between Quartets

Musicians of the OSM 2026-2027

Schubert was just 16 when he wrote his spirited String Quartet No. 10, drawing on the warmth and vitality of his family concerts. Debussy wrote just one string quartet, infusing it with daring harmonies and an array of luminous musical colours. Inspired by a Japanese film, Ian Cusson’s Yume (Dreams) is also a richly evocative quartet piece, each movement giving a glimpse into a new world of imagination.
Co-produced with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
