It’s the closing event of the season!

Don’t miss your last chance to move your body and dance on Du Musée Avenue this year. While you’re in the neighbourhood, why not take advantage of the first Sunday of the month to visit the Museum for free*?

 

PROGRAM

  • 10 to 11 a.m.: yoga session with Ajouna
  • 2 to 3 p.m.: set by DJ Sugarface Belfo
  • At 3 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.: three 30-minute performances by Basement Brass
  • Artcycle creative workshop: using ink and markers, design a logo reflecting your favourite sport. Draw inspiration from works by Serge Lemoyne and Estelle Laverne in the MMFA’s collection.
AU MENU
  • 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: BBQ hosted by Aube Café ($)
  • Starting at 3 p.m.: bar service ($)

And while you’re there, don’t forget to pop into Aube Café (open til 5 p.m.) for some take-out food and drinks ($)!

 

About Basement Brass
With its high-octane energy and fusion of modern hip-hop, and New Orleans brass, Basement Brass is one of the hottest names on the Montreal music scene.

About Ajouna
With over a decade of experience in dance, and training in ashtanga vinyasa yoga (2017), Ajouna seamlessly combines discipline and creativity in her teaching. She favours an approach that cultivates a sense of presence through movement and grounding in the body.

About DJ Sugarface Belfo
Born in Montreal to Egyptian and Portuguese parents, DJ Sugarface Belfo delivers lively sets rooted in world music and blending house, disco, funk and jungle rhythms. The captivating beats of her sets never fail to get the crowd moving.

Cancellation TermsIn case of rain, the activity will be cancelled. The announcement will be posted on the event’s Facebook page in the morning. 

*First Sunday of the Month: Admission to the Museum (except the major exhibition) is free for Quebec residents. Reservations are required.
