Les Idées heureuses - Chaconne et chocolat: délectations espagnoles

Guest presenters

For the fifth edition of Chaconne et chocolat, Les Idées heureuses celebrates Spain and the enchanting chaconne, an iconic dance that has endured for centuries. Based on a persistent bass line that lends itself to variation and improvisation, the chaconne displays a striking expressive richness: by turns virtuosic, sensual, meditative, and poignant.

Seven passionate musicians invite you on a vibrant musical journey, combining vocal and instrumental chaconnes by the great Spanish masters of the 16th to 18th centuries, including Santiago de Murcia, José Marín, Diego Ortiz, and Juan Cabanilles. A generous and refined evening, where the energy of dance meets the most intimate emotion.
