MMFA x Les Affutés: Discover the Technique of Tablet Weaving

Don’t have enough space to install a loom in your living room? Would you like to learn an ancestral weaving technique?

During this three-hour workshop, you’ll discover the basics of weaving through a fun and accessible technique. Using cards (called “tablets”) and threads that you attach to your belt, you’ll be able to weave sturdy, colourful straps.

You’ll learn how to use these famous tablets, install the threads following a pattern and use your body to give the tension required to create your weave. You’ll leave with the knowledge you need to let your imagination run wild in your future weavings!
