Welcome to the Museum’s School of Art!
To safely resume its activities during the pandemic, the Education and Wellness Department has decided to offer an abridged online program of our most popular workshops through the Zoom platform (link coming soon). Each class will be recorded and available throughout the entire week after the class if you happen to miss it.
Tuesday to Thursday, August 24 to 26, 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
This workshop will let you explore landscapes by working with new colour techniques and simplifying your compositions. Wide brushes reduce detail and create simplet and more refined scenes. Shapes and large spaces will expand, while details such as branches and leaves will be left out to make room for silhouettes and shapes that seem almost like characters ! Another goal is to study more vibrant and intense hues in a "Fauvist" style, which will bring compositions to life and give them a surprising and almost supernatural quality.
Instructor: Lucie Michel, artist and art educator
To simplify your participation, the instructors have prepared lists of supplies you will need for the class, along with the Omer DeSerres product codes. After you have ordered them on-line, they can be delivered to your home by DeSerres or you can pick them up at the store. The prices vary according to the products you select.
There is a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 8 participants for each series. If the minimum is not reached, the series will be cancelled.
Cancellation policy: Cancellations made seven (7) business days or more before the first class of your registered workshop will be refunded in full, less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made less than seven(7) business days before the activity begins, unless the cancellation is made for unavoidable circumstances, in which case fees will be refunded in full.
