Trio Fibonacci - Symphonic Trio

Guest presenters

Ta ta ta taaa! This easily recognisable opening motif from Beethoven's Fifth Symphony is known  the world over. Challenging the traditional boundaries between chamber and orchestral repertoire, this concert will allow you to discover the adaptation of the symphony created in the 19th century - a reminder of the days when large-scale works were performed in condensed form in the privacy of one’s own living room, so as to be heard by as many people as possible. This monument is followed by one of his most popular chamber music works: his Trio in C minor, Op. 1 No. 3. Combining inventive passages, lyrical beauty and a modernist vision, it gives a glimpse of the subversive side of the famous Viennese who was to revolutionise classical music.
