Viennese Tradition

Musicians of the OSM 2026-2027

This concert features the balanced and nuanced phrases of OSM composer-in-residence Jimmy López; the contemplative warmth and expansive clarinet writing of Brahms; the interwoven musical lines of Schoenberg’s Weihnachtsmusik, which reveal the beloved Christmas hymns Lo, How a Rose and Silent Night; and finally, Schoenberg’s surprising arrangement of the Emperor Waltz, an imaginative work filled with rich sonorities.
Co-produced with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
