October 22, 2022 – February 4, 2023

In the company of our Guides, discover – or rediscover – this iconic artist of 1980s New York, who made a lasting impact on contemporary art.

This exhibition presents a hitherto little explored facet of the artistic practice of Jean-Michel Basquiat. Music surfaces in his creations in the form of signs, symbols and sounds. Bringing together over 100 works, alongside music excerpts and videos, Seeing Loud transports visitors into the artist’s world to discover the genres and the musicians who influenced his work.
