UQTR awards honorary doctorate to Nathalie Bondil

This year, the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) is awarding an honorary doctorate to Nathalie Bondil, Director General and Chief Curator of the MMFA. This prestigious honour is in recognition of her exceptional career and achievements, which are an inspiration to the Trois-Rivières university community.

As the academic institution stated in a press release, “She has made the MMA a human-focused and inclusive place whose educational value and desire for connection allows it to not only reach a more diverse and younger audience but also welcome anyone who wants to discover and understand the world differently by exploring Francophone culture, and its history and future, through the arts.”

Nathalie Bondil’s dedication and deep civic commitment have been rewarded many times throughout her career. A Member of the Order of Canada, Knight of the National Order of Quebec, Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters of the French Republic, and Knight of the French Legion of Honour, she has received honorary doctorates from Université de Montréal and McGill University. She is also the recipient of the Medal of the National Assembly of Quebec and the 2018 Peter Herrndorf Award for leadership in the arts.
