Bourgie Hall presents

Andrè Schuen, baritone & Daniel Heide, piano

Complete Schubert Lieder: Year 2

Two great lieder composers meet in this refined and emotionally resonant programme. Praised for his sensitive and lyrical voice, baritone Andrè Schuen performs lieder inspired not only by nature, love, and hope, but by the lovelorn hero’s quest to relieve his suffering, as in Mahler’s four Songs of a Wayfarer.

Jean Portugais will give a lecture in connection with this concert on the same day, at 12:30 p.m.

There will be a masterclass on German lied for vocal-piano duos on Monday, March 16, at 11 a.m.

In collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Montreal
