Arion Orchestre Baroque - The Four Seasons

If Vivaldi’s Four Seasons—works forgotten for over two centuries—are today among the most beloved pieces in the Baroque repertoire, it is because they are far more than just violin concertos. Depicting the biting cold, the oppressive heat of the summer sun, or the chirping of birds in spring, these works have become the soundtracks of our lives after over 300 years! Brought to life by the brilliant Swiss violinist Leila Schayegh, who returns to conduct Arion, and paired with vocal works by Vivaldi and Bembo performed by the remarkable Quebec soprano Sophie Naubert, this presentation promises a whirlwind of emotions and contrasts.
