Epic Schubert: Greatly Inspired Romanticism

Complete Schubert Lieder: Year 3

Schubert had a brilliant musical mind not only for miniatures but for expansive narrative compositions. His ballads are rich and groundbreaking, and his longer lieder contributed a host of remarkable innovations to the emergence of Romanticism. To this day, Schubert’s daring, epic and modern long-form works remain a source of amazement.
