This lecture will delve into the world of the salons of the Belle Époque, where artists and poets gathered to exhange ideas on their country’s artistic, social, and cultural activity. These venues for gathering and debating greatly influenced music making in the years spanning 1871 to 1914, and likewise Gabriel Fauré’s career.
