Festival de musique de chambre de Montréal - Liberation WWII
Guest presenters
Marking the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, this concert pays tribute to resilience and the fight for freedom. Liberation features two powerful masterworks: Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time and Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony, Op. 110. The evening opens with a world premiere by Juno Award-winning Canadian composer Jaap Nico Hamburger.
A profoundly moving and unforgettable tribute.
The commissioned work by Jaap Nico Hamburger is made possible by the generous support of the Azrieli Foundation.
