Les Idées heureuses - Alla polacca

Guest presenters

Georg Philipp Telemann is considered one of the most prolific composers of the Baroque era. His catalog is impressive not only for the staggering number of compositions it contains—more than 3,000!—but also for the remarkable variety of artistic influences that shaped these works.

Indeed, as a frequent traveler, Telemann wrote in French and Italian styles, but he was also inspired by the folk dances and songs he discovered in Poland. This concert will immerse you in a world of Telemann’s dances, suites, and concertos, deeply inspired by his many stays in the land of the white eagle!
