Bourgie Hall presents

Mathieu Gaudet - Schubert, Architect

Outstanding Pianists

This programme testifies to the immense admiration Schubert held for Beethoven, and how Beethoven’s compositional innovations influenced the younger composer’s piano works. The monumental C minor sonata, the first tableau of the celebrated 1828 triptych, a work at once tragic and epic, remains to this day an absolute masterpiece of the piano literature.
