Musicians of the OSM - At the Heart of the Romantic Era

Musicians of the OSM 2022-2023

Fanny Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms, both born in Hamburg, maintained close ties with this Hanseatic city famous for its pianos. Appropriately, the piano proved crucial to these  composers' respective outputs. Fanny Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio is the crown jewel of her modest chamber music output, while Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 2 exhibits Schubert's influence.

In collaboration with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
