Musicians of the OSM - At the Heart of the Romantic Era

Musicians of the OSM 2022-2023

Fanny Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms, who were both born in Hamburg, maintained ties with that city, which was also renowned for its pianos, a defining instrument for both composers. Fanny Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio is the crown jewel of her modest chamber music output, while Brahms’s Piano Quartet No. 2 exhibits Schubert's influence.

In collaboration with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal
