Trio Fibonacci - Beethoven: Intimate symphonies

Guest presenters

The Trio Fibonacci opens its season by diving into the symphonic world of Beethoven. In the Symphony No. 2, transcribed by the composer himself, all the ardour of the young Beethoven is concentrated in a chamber music setting. Rediscover this pivotal work between the classicism inherited from Haydn and the first impulses of Romanticism that were to characterise his repertoire. With the Symphony No. 6, ‘Pastoral’, another facet of the master is revealed: that of a lover of nature and painter of sonic landscapes. Singing streams, birdsong, sudden storms and new-found serenity come to life through the refined dialogue between piano, violin and cello. These two monuments of the symphonic repertoire invite you to hear Beethoven's greatness in all its intimacy.
