Trio Fibonacci - Composing in the shadows

Guest presenters

Out of the shadows and into the light! The Trio presents the works of five composers whose genius has been overshadowed for too long. From Henriëtte Bosmans to Florence Price, via Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, William Grant Still and Amy Beach, the programme explores the music of these singular voices, too little performed because of their origins or their gender. From the depths of Afro-American music to romantic lyricism, from folk accents to echoes of jazz, this concert reveals vibrant and timeless trios. Celebrating visionary artists who have broadened the horizons of classical music.
