Trio Fibonacci - Brothers in Music

Guest presenters

The season will conclude with a programme highlighting the links between three great representatives of the classical era. Friendship, education and mutual admiration united Reicha, Haydn and Beethoven. The musicians will present the rare but magnificent trio by Reicha, a composer who has too often remained in the shadow of his friend Beethoven, but whose avant-gardism influenced generations of great composers. This is followed by a score by "Papa Haydn". This piano trio - a genre which he elevated to new heights - shows us that his trios can impress every bit as much as his famous quartets. Finally, Beethoven's monumental Archduke Trio is praised for its sublime inspiration and inventive fantasy. This work, one of the pillars of chamber music, shows the full extent of the immeasurable talent of this other representative of Viennese classicism.
