Yourcenar - Une île de passions

Arts crossroads

Based on the life and work of Marguerite Yourcenar, the opera Yourcenar – Une île de passions highlights the tensions that made up Yourcenar’s life as a woman, companion, and writer. Echoing this Quebec creation presented for the first time in the summer of 2022, this concert-talk offers an exchange between the opera’s developers, punctuated by musical excerpts performed on stage in a version for voice and piano.

Presented in French.

In collaboration with the Festival international de la littérature (FIL), the Opéra de Montréal, the Festival d’opéra de Québec and Les Violons du Roy
