Launch of the MMFA Foundation’s annual fundraising campaign

Art sparks connection and comes alive with your donation

“If you dream of a more just world that values human connection, give generously to the MMFA.” These are the words of Celia Rojas-Viger, a retired physician, anthropologist and lecturer who has been attending the Art Hive, a free creative workshop offered by the MMFA, every week for the past 10 years. Her vibrant testimonial provides inspiration and momentum for the 2026-2027 annual fundraising campaign that the MMFA Foundation is launching today.

More than just a slogan

“Art sparks connection and comes alive with your donation” is the message at the heart of the MMFA Foundation’s mission. When you give to the MMFA, which is an NPO, you allow it to preserve its collection, to present awe-inspiring exhibitions, and to reach diverse audiences. Last year alone, over 28,000 students, 9,000 beneficiaries of community organizations and 50,000 participants in our family activities were able to visit the Museum for free.

By connecting with yourself, you are able to connect with others

We strongly believe that art brings us together, and in talking to our visitors, we’ve seen that they share this belief. Celia, who has been visiting the Museum since 1972 and never misses her weekly Art Hive outing, talks about it with enthusiasm:

Forging stronger bonds between people doesn’t have to be complicated. The Art Hive is a welcoming place that makes us think and gives us hope for society amidst the crises we’re living through. It encourages a form of democracy, in that by connecting with yourself, you are able to connect with others.

If you too believe that art has the power to spark connection, please give today.

Images that speak louder than words

The dynamic visual identity of the 2026-2027 campaign was created by Montreal-based illustrator Catherine Potvin.
