It is with great pleasure that the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation announces the co-chairs of the 2025 edition of the Museum Ball:
Alexandre L’Heureux, President and CEO, WSP Global;
Jérôme Pécresse, Chief Executive, Aluminium, Rio Tinto;
Tracy Robinson, President and CEO, CN;
Erik Ryan, Special Advisor on Stakeholder Engagement, Atkinsréalis.
These four business leaders will serve as the honourable co-chairpersons of this prestigious gala. IG Private Wealth Management is proud to be the official presenter of the 2025 Museum Ball.
An ode to freedom and flamboyance, this 65th edition of the Museum Ball will pay tribute to the major exhibition Kent Monkman: History Is Painted by the Victors, opening at the MMFA in September. Quebec and Canadian art will also share the spotlight. Guests from all walks of life, who share a love of art and a commitment to supporting culture, will gather in the Museum’s magnificent banquet halls, where they will be able to admire specially selected works from the Museum’s collection.
“There’s a real feeling of excitement around this 2025 edition, which promises to be a grandiose affair,” enthused Jo-Anne Duchesne, Director General of the MMFA Foundation. “The central theme is a timely one, and I salute the business and artistic communities for their desire to play a role in this essential event for both the Museum and Montreal. Once again this year, we’re coming together to support artistic creation and its transformative power. The festivities will not only be spectacular, they’ll also generate tangible benefits. The countdown has begun!”
An annual charity event that’s a staple in Quebec’s cultural calendar, the Museum Ball raises crucial funds for the MMFA’s financial well-being. As a not-for-profit organization, the Museum relies on the generosity of patrons, volunteers and partners to maintain its status as one of the country’s leading institutions. In addition to offering programming that consistently impresses its audiences, the MMFA deploys its collection to support a multitude of educational and community engagement activities. In doing so, it meets the needs of a broad audience in a wide range of fields, including teaching, francization, restorative justice, Alzheimer’s disease, eating disorders, cancer, caregiving, etc.
The Museum Ball is organized by the MMFA Foundation team, with the precious support of all of the institution’s internal teams.
