October marks the return of in-person artistic creation activities at the MMFA:

The Floor is Yours!
Developed in cooperation with Montreal documentary theatre company Porte Parole, this mediation space closes the exhibition “How long does it take for one voice to reach another?” You are invited to give voice to the thoughts and emotions inspired by the exhibition as part of a collective creative experience, using markers and colorful adhesive tape.

Family Weekends
Every Saturday and Sunday, the MMFA holds four creative activities designed for families and inspired by works from its own collection and ongoing exhibitions. Accompanied by an adult, toddlers 2 to 5 years old are introduced to art through the MMFA’s I love you and Hear my voice workshops, while children 6 to 12 get a chance to develop their artistic talent through our Expression at your fingertips and My Museum: Do you see me? workshops.

WKSHP 15-20
This personal creative studio experience is reserved for young people between the ages of 15 and 20 who want to express themselves in a safe and stimulating space. The studio offers both themed workshops and digital creative workshops. You will draw inspiration from the MMFA’s collections to express your views and feelings on contemporary issues dear to your heart.

The MMFA Art Hive
In this creative community studio, everyone is welcomed as an artist in their own right, regardless of their level of artistic experience. Materials are provided at no charge, and you are encouraged to express yourself in your own way, at your own pace, taking advantage of the creative atmosphere. The Art Hive has a Museum mediator and an art therapist on hand to help you get started.
