Designed by Magnéto and La puce à l’oreille, in collaboration with the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, La vie secrète de l'art was awarded a 2020 PRIX NUMIX in the Podcast – Fiction and Experimental category. The jury applauded “the innovative aspect of the podcast, its originality and poetry, as well as its ability to spark the imagination.” The PRIX NUMIX gala, presented this year in a virtual version, recognizes digital excellence and creativity in Quebec.

This podcasts series (in French) was launched in October 2019. It invites kids aged 8 and 9 to discover works by Karoo Ashevak, Betty Goodwin, Helen Galloway McNicoll, Barbara Steinman and Bernardo Strozzi from the MMFA’s encyclopedic collection. It includes five short stories, written by children's author Simon Boulerice and narrated by Évelyne de la Chenelière and Sasha Samar. It was directed by Daniel Capeille, sound designer at Magnéto.

The episodes are available free of charge on the MMFA mobile app, on the La puce à l'oreille and Magnéto websites, as well as all podcast apps.
