Virtual access to art and culture has never been more important, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MMFA) is proud to step up to the plate with its all-new website. The revamped platform offers a more streamlined navigation through the Museum’s practical information, a simplified online purchasing process and an amplified selection of works for visitors to explore from the institution’s encyclopaedic collection.

Responsive, informative, transactional and educational

Adapted to deliver optimal navigation across all devices, the Museum’s website boasts a multitude of functions that foster a seamless user experience and take the dissemination of art to a new level. Viewers no longer have to hunt for the opening hours, and the list of the activities of the moment is right there in front of them. The transaction process has also been completely reworked to make it more efficient to buy tickets, make a donation, or reserve a spot at a Bourgie Hall concert or MMFA event.

In addition, a large part of the Museum’s encyclopaedic collection, comprising over 45,000 artworks and artifacts that date back several millennia before the Common Era, is available to the public on the new site. Users can search by genre, period or keyword to unearth the treasures tucked away in the MMFA’s galleries and holdings. The must-sees of our cultural offerings and the educational platform EducArt also feature centrally.

The Museum’s website receives over 1,500,000 visitors annually.
