Last Monday, creator Manfred Thierry Mugler, exhibition curator Thierry-Maxime Loriot and the Director of the Kunsthalle München, Roger Diederen, met the German press at a presentation of Thierry Mugler: Couturissime in the Bavarian capital.

Following its successful runs in Montreal and Rotterdam, this major exhibition initiated, produced and circulated by the MMFA, in collaboration with the Maison Mugler, which restored the designer’s heritage haute couture on display, will be on view at the Kunsthalle in Munich until February 28, 2021. Upwards of 560,000 people have already discovered the fascinating world of Mugler through some 150 outfits made between 1977 and 2014, as well as many video excerpts, sketches and images made by the biggest names in fashion photography.

In other exciting news, Montreal special effects firm Rodeo FX (Stranger Things, Game of Thrones) took home Bronze in the Live Event Installations and Projections category at the 2020 Animation & Effects Awards & Festival for the immersive projections in the exhibition’s Metamorphoses gallery. Bravo!
