Do you want to encourage the representation of women’s creative genius at the Museum?
Become part of the large community of the Women of Influence Circle to support your Museum and help showcase the outstanding contribution of women at the MMFA.

Support the acquisition of works and the presentation of exhibitions of women artists, as well as access to the Museum for women in difficulty. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded individuals who are engaged in the community and interested in promoting the singular visions and talent of women artists.
As a gesture of appreciation for the Women of Influence Circle patrons, the MMFA Foundation offers them the following donor appreciation program:2

Personal invitations to the Women of Influence Circle events Invitations for the donor and a guest to prestigious exclusive events and the vernissages of the Museum’s exhibitions Free admission to over 100 North American member institutions of the Museum Alliance Reciprocal Program (MARP) and the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) Mention on a donor recognition wall at the Museum3 Mention of the donor’s name in the Museum’s annual report and on its website3
In addition, donors are entitled to all the perks offered to MMFA Members:4
Free, unlimited and priority access to all the Museum’s exhibitions and collections Membership card issued in the donor’s name (principal cardholder) Up to three membership cards for secondary cardholders OR up to three guests per visit Access to the M Webzine, the Museum’s digital magazine Special access to the Members Lounge, with private cloakroom Invitations to events reserved for Members and exclusive guided tours of the collections and exhibitions Discounts on services offered by the Museum and a number of cultural partners
1 A tax receipt will be issued for the eligible amount in the name of the donating individual or organization. An amount of $125 is attributed to an MMFA membership and subtracted from the donation amount.
2 The donor appreciation program is valid for one year as of the date of the donation and is subject to change without notice.
3 With the exception of donors who wish to remain anonymous.
4 Includes benefits associated with a Quattro membership package (valued at $160). Guests must always be accompanied by the principal cardholder.
Circle membership cards are issued in the name of the donor and cannot be used by a third party.
An initiative of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Foundation, the Women of Influence Circle supports the acquisition of works and exhibitions by women artists, as well as access to the Museum for women in need.

The support of the Women of Influence Circle enables the Museum to:
host community organizations that help women (shelters, services for women in difficulty or experiencing homelessness, and organizations that support single parents, among others); promote the work of women artists through exhibitions like Joyce Wieland: Heart On and Françoise Sullivan: “I let rhythms flow”; present projects that highlight women’s contribution to art history, such as Spotlight: Women Artists in the Early Modern European Art Collection and the exhibitions Berthe Weill, Art Dealer of the Parisian Avant-garde and Bad Girls Only: Women and the Seven Deadly Sins.

The Women of Influence Circle acquisition fund has made it possible to acquire artworks by important female artists, including:

- Woman Worker at the Sunsweet Prune Packing Factory, Yuba City, California (2002) and Indian Grocery Store in Queens, New York (2004) by Gauri Gill
- Rosie (2021) by Passa Mangiuk
- Belonging (2016) by Martha Townsend
