From the Middle Ages to Degas: Museum Masterpieces in Music - Lecture

Arts crossroads

The magnificent early paintings bequeathed by the Hornstein family hold a special place in the Museum's collections. This lecture will combine a dozen artworks from this legacy—religious scenes, landscapes, portraits, genre scenes and still-life works—with musical pieces to further enhance their beauty and extend their meaning.
