Bourgie Hall presents

Christoph Prégardien, Pantaèdre and Quatuor Arthur-Leblanc : The Fair Maid of the Mill

Chamber Music

Spurred by distress and melancholy in one of his life’s phases, Schubert composed Die Schöne Müllerin (The Fair Maid of the Mill), a magnificent lieder cycle that tells of unattainable love. The voice of Christoph Prégardien soars over a sublime arrangement for winds and strings by Denis Plante, replacing the piano.
