This painting workshop will explore the expressive possibilities of the human form set in its own environment. You’ll learn to create a mood, to spark emotion and to situate the body in a setting that transforms the poses into stories. The emphasis will be placed on composition, gesture and personal interpretation, so that you’ll create figurative works with great evocative potential.

Instructor: Naghmeh Sharifi, artist and art educator

Materials: All materials are supplied.

Reservation terms: Workshops with fewer than 5 participants will be cancelled.

Cancellation policy: If you need to cancel your registration, please notify us by email at education@mbamtl.org at least seven 7 business days in advance of the course. This will allow us to offer your spot to someone else and minimize losses.

If your cancellation request is received before the course begins, you will be entitled to a full refund.
If the request is received after the course has started, you will be charged for the sessions attended, but the remaining sessions may be refunded, subject to a 10% penalty.
