Discover all the things you can do using a simple smart phone! In this one-day practical workshop, you’ll draw inspiration from works in the MMFA’s collection to explore the expressive potential of photography. More than a simple technique, contemplative photography is an invitation to pause, be present in the moment and recognize your creative potential.

By learning your phone’s photo functions, you’ll be able to let go and overcome your doubts about your talent as an artist. Colour, form, texture, abstraction and visual play: this workshop will help you look at the world around you with fresh eyes. Capture the poetry of the moment thanks to an impressionist approach. Wish you could be creative? You already are!

Instructor: Michel Proulx, artist and art educator
Level: Intermediate
