Support your Museum

Since the MMFA is a private rather than government-run museum, its self-financing rate is one of the highest in the country. Thanks to your donations to the Foundation, you contribute to the development of educational and social/community programs and to the diversity of the Museum’s major exhibitions and collections. We need your support now more than ever.

Did you know?

Since it was founded in 1860, the MMFA has been a non-profit organization, not a government-run museum. It must generate close to 55% of its operating budget, 99% of the funds it needs for acquisitions and 100% of the additional operating costs related to expansions.
