In 2015, Arte Musica Foundation acquired an Érard Grand Piano dating back to 1859. Having travelled across the Atlantic Ocean in a container filled with other antiques, the piano arrived in a very bad state and had to be lovingly restored by master piano tuner and technician, Claude Thompson. He and pianist Olivier Godin explain why the aesthetics, mechanics and unique sound of this superb instrument make it a precious addition to the Bougie Hall Collection.
